Summary: The Network Security Project Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of security infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with security architecture and client requirements. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing project plans, and providing executive-level communication. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management within security-focused initiatives and a strong understanding of security infrastructure concepts. Mentoring junior project managers may also be part of the responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of security infrastructure projects, including security enclave or segmented network deployments.
  • Network and firewall security implementations.
  • Infrastructure security modernization initiatives.
  • Act as the primary project lead coordinating across Security, Network, Infrastructure, Operations, Vendors, and Client stakeholders.
  • Drive projects through design definition, internal and client design reviews, and approval processes.
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure solutions meet security architecture and client requirements.
  • Own execution once designs are approved, ensuring delivery aligns to scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including schedules, risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure strong ownership of delivery documentation, including runbooks, methods of procedure (MOPs), project status, implementation, and close-out artifacts.
  • Proactively identify delivery, security, and operational risks and drive resolution.
  • Provide clear, executive-level communication to clients and internal leadership.
  • Mentor or guide junior project managers as needed.

Key Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager leading infrastructure and security-focused initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering security and network infrastructure projects in enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of security infrastructure concepts, including firewalls and network security architectures.
  • Routing and switching fundamentals.
  • Segmented or zone-based network designs.
  • Experience working with security-centric environments that may include technologies such as Palo Alto Networks, Prisma Access, or Prisma SD-WAN.
  • Proven ability to lead design reviews, client discussions, and delivery alignment.
  • Strong documentation, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, client-facing delivery environments.
