Network Security Engineer - Palo Alto, Terraform

Summary: The role of Security Engineer focuses on leveraging expertise in Palo Alto Networks technologies, particularly Prisma Access and Strata Cloud Manager, to design and enhance secure network infrastructure in a complex enterprise environment. The position requires hands-on experience and a proactive approach to security engineering. The role is remote and is classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and enhance secure network infrastructure.
• Utilize Palo Alto Networks technologies, particularly Prisma Access and Strata Cloud Manager.
• Build or tune policy-based security controls (DLP, URL filtering, decryption, etc.).
• Manage firewalling, VPN, Zero Trust frameworks, and SD-WAN technologies.
• Work with Palo Alto VM-Series and related PAN security products.
• Apply IAM/PAM/PIM concepts.
• Utilize Terraform and scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).

Key Skills:

• Proven experience as a Security Engineer in large enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in Palo Alto Networks, especially Prisma Access and Strata Cloud Manager.
• Experience with policy-based security controls.
• Knowledge of firewalling, VPN, Zero Trust frameworks, and SD-WAN.
• Skilled in Palo Alto VM-Series and PAN security products.
• Exposure to IAM/PAM/PIM concepts.
• Experience with Terraform and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Knowledge of cloud security (Azure or GCP) is a plus.
• Experience integrating SIEM platforms is a plus.
• Understanding of Zero Trust architecture and SD-WAN optimization is a plus.

My client is seeking a hands-on Security Engineer with deep expertise in Palo Alto Networks technologies, particularly around Prisma Access and Strata Cloud Manager. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and enhancing secure network infrastructure across a large, complex enterprise environment.
