Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, manage, and troubleshoot on-premises and cloud network architectures aligned with business goals
  • Configure and maintain network switches, routing, VLANs, VPNs, and CSP circuits (AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute)
  • Provide advanced technical support for escalated network-related issues
  • Decommission legacy network components in collaboration with City staff, ensuring minimal disruption
  • Optimize network performance and resource utilization through systematic removal of obsolete segments
  • Create detailed network diagrams and maintain up-to-date infrastructure documentation
  • Conduct performance testing to validate scalability and efficiency
  • Deliver training and knowledge transfer to City staff on network processes
  • Provide weekly and monthly status reports and facilitate status meetings on progress, risks, and delivery concerns

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (from a recognized four-year college/university)
  • 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role
  • Proven track record designing and managing robust on-premises and cloud network architectures
