Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of work experience within the Network space
- Network engineering and design experience with exposure to two or more of the following areas: LAN/WAN, firewalls, wireless, security, VOIP, QoS, and encryption technologies while adhering to standard design methodologies and best practices
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP protocol communications, addressing & subnetting
- Firewall experience: Palo Alto, Fortigate, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA
- Working knowledge of Cisco's product portfolio; routers, switches, wireless, ACS and ISE
- Working knowledge of Network diagnostics, protocols, and disciplines, EIGRP, BGP, eBGP, SNMP, VPN, SSH, and MPLS technologies
- Experience with DNS architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting including forward/reverse lookups, zone management, and DNS security
- Hands-on experience with Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, and IPAM) solutions including grid management, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) for data center networking, including fabric deployment, policy configuration, endpoint groups, contracts, and troubleshooting
- Experience with Aruba wireless technologies including Aruba Central, wireless controllers, access points, and ClearPass for network access control
Preferred Requirments
- Knowledge of routing and switching protocols
- Experience with SDN technologies such as VMWare NSX
- Experience and working knowledge of scripting/automation tools such as python, Ansible etc. will be a huge plus and will make you standout
- Experience with load balancing technologies such as F5, Netscaler, A10
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNP desired
- Experience supporting CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) environments and familiarity with healthcare compliance requirements including HIPAA, MARS-E, and CMS ARS (Acceptable Risk Safeguards)
- Experience participating in security audits and providing documentation and evidence of network controls, configurations, and compliance in regulated environments
Duties and Responsibilities
- This role is for a Network Engineer who will be part of the Global Network Operations team. Supports all Network environments for our clients
- Provide L2/L3 Operations support for investigation, troubleshooting and resolving network communications and operations issues impacting client, backbone access, or performance
- Design, engineer, and implement network solutions across a variety of disciplines, security postures, access control, and infrastructure
- Participate in Incident Management, Request Fulfillment, Change Management, Event Management, and Problem Management for all client environments
- Perform a consultative role to both internal and external customers
- Working understanding of network capacity management and modeling
- Proactively monitor client network performance to assess and make recommendations for improvement
- Contribute to network solutions-based architectures to increase efficiencies
- Contribute to documentation, automation and processes improvement
- Provide technical input on network projects or activities involving design approach and systems technology
- Assist with client and market research to help define strategy and direction
- Research existing network solutions and future technologies; contribute to product road maps, user stories, and requirements
- Manage assigned tasks and contribute to the Network roadmap
- Stay current with information technology industry trends to understand the potential impact on business or network systems architecture
The anticipated hourly rate range for this position is ($45/hr-60/hr). Actual hourly rate will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
