Summary: The Network Engineer role at Rullion involves providing expertise in network configurations and customer connectivity for a global energy client. Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as point of expertise in network configurations and customer environments.
  • Develop network configurations to connect customer networks to central host sites.
  • Support and maintain existing customer connections and VPN solutions.
  • Investigate and resolve network connectivity issues with customers.
  • Install and maintain remote connections as a technical central point.
  • Plan network connectivity with customers and the RDS Support team.
  • Manage network hardware updates as needed.
  • Ensure network solutions remain compliant with company guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience with Cisco firewalls and routers.
  • Strong experience with customer relationships.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology.
  • Experience in Networking Services (network and communications).
  • Good technical and business communication skills.
  • Certification in Cisco or similar networking products is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of English both written and verbal.
  • Strong understanding of VPN protocols IKEv1 and IKEv2.
  • Firm understanding of SNMP messaging protocols.

Salary (Rate): £350 daily

Your responsibilitiesAct as point of expertise in respect to:Understand how the RDS solution can be applied connection with various customer environments which will allow network configurations to be developed.Network configuration to remotely connect customer network to central host site.Strong understanding of VPN protocols IKEv1 and IKEv2Firm understanding of SNMP messaging protocols.Support and maintenance for existing customer connections and VPN solutions.Investigation and resolution of issues relating to network connectivity by working with customers when an outage occursTechnical central point for installing and maintaining remote connections.Work with customers and RDS Support team to plan network connectivity to/from site.Work with customers to integrate our solution into their IT environment.Manage the network hardware updates as needed.Work with cybersecurity and other departments to ensure network solution remains compliant with company guidelines.Other duties as assigned.
