As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless network operations and support. This role requires a deep understanding of service provider routing and switching, as well as proficiency in network automation and operational support. You will be expected to leverage your expertise in DevOps practices to enhance network efficiency and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure for service providers.
- Ensure the stability and performance of routing and switching technologies.
- Develop and execute network automation scripts to streamline network operations.
- Provide operational support for network issues, working with cross-functional teams to resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate network automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor network performance and implement improvements as necessary.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations and changes.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of service provider routing and switching.
- Proficiency in network automation tools and techniques.
- Experience in operational support and network troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and their application to network operations.
- TS/SCI w/CI Poly Clearance is required.
Preferred Skills
- JNCIP, JNCIE, CCNP, or CCIE certifications are a strong plus.
- Experience with network automation frameworks such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of network automation into these processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
