Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support throughout the delivery life cycle of the project.
  • Work closely with project leads on project-related network engineering activities.
  • Demonstrate expertise in HPE Aruba switching and Wi-Fi technologies.
  • Produce clear, high-quality documentation within systems such as Jira, ServiceNow, and Confluence.
  • Follow established procedures and refine them for broader engineering use.
  • Support field engineers with supervision and complex diagnostics during targeted travel.

Key Skills:

  • Proven expertise with HPE Aruba switching and Wi-Fi technologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret HPE Aruba switch text configurations.
  • Experience with HPE Intelligent Management Center and Aruba Central.
  • Strong working knowledge of Cisco ISR Routers.
  • Familiarity with Cisco Meraki (MX Firewalls, switching, and Wi-Fi).
  • Solid understanding of Internet access technologies such as FTTP and Fibre Ethernet.
  • Methodical approach to troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Competent in producing documentation within various systems.
  • Exposure to Cisco SD-WAN solutions and MPLS networks is desirable.

Contract Network Engineer (Outside IR35) - 3-Month Engagement Initially
Location: Primarily remote, with occasional expenses paid travel nationwide
Duration: 3 months initially
Engagement: Outside IR35

A significant strategic project commencing in the New Year has received preliminary approval to onboard an experienced Network Engineer Contractor. This role will provide dedicated technical support throughout the delivery life cycle, working closely with the project leads and focusing exclusively on project-related network engineering activities.
A more detailed specification will be made available in due course, but at this stage we are seeking contractors able to demonstrate strong, hands-on experience across the following areas:

Core Skills & Experience

  • Proven expertise with HPE Aruba switching and Wi-Fi technologies
  • Ability to read, interpret and work confidently with HPE Aruba switch text configurations
  • Experience with HPE Intelligent Management Center and Aruba Central
  • Strong working knowledge of Cisco ISR Routers, including command-line configuration and configuration interpretation
  • Familiarity with Cisco Meraki (MX Firewalls, switching, and Wi-Fi)
  • Comfortable working in and around comms cabinets and server rooms
  • Solid understanding of Internet access technologies such as FTTP, SoGEA and Fibre Ethernet

  • Methodical, structured approach to troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Ability to produce clear, high-quality documentation within systems such as Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence, and other wikis
