Network Engineer

Summary: The Network Engineer role is a contract position focused on producing low-level designs (LLDs) and integrating network and security component designs. The engineer will engage with stakeholders, maintain architecture artifacts, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure compliance with design intent. This position requires extensive experience in network engineering and architecture, particularly with Cisco and Checkpoint technologies. The role is remote with a day rate of £250, classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production of LLD's and integration of network/security component designs.
• Engage with stakeholders, run customer forums and workshops, and translate technical details for business audiences.
• Produce/maintain architecture and change artefacts and keep trackers/RAID/SharePoint updated.
• Work with engineering teams on design intent; review configs, automation scripts, and F5 artefacts for LLD compliance.

Key Skills:

• 5+ years' experience in Network Engineering/Architect roles.
• Cisco Routing & Switching.
• Checkpoint Firewalls.
• F5 Load Balancing.
• Zscalers.
• Scripting or Automation (desirable).

Salary (Rate): £250/day
