Our client is rebuilding its network across 60+ onshore sites, control rooms and new offshore wind farms. You'll join a small engineering team moving the business off Legacy MPLS onto a secure, automated network. Much of it is greenfield design and build, not business as usual.
The work
- Design and build WAN and site networks, from high-level design through to cutover
- Lead site migrations from MPLS to SD-WAN with minimal downtime
- Segment OT (control system) networks from corporate IT using firewalls and NAC
- Connect remote and offshore sites over fibre, microwave and private LTE/5G
- Automate routine changes with Python or Ansible
- Write designs, test plans and handover documents
You'll need
- 5+ years as a network engineer in enterprise or service provider environments
- Strong routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, QoS) on Cisco, Juniper or Arista
- Firewall experience (Palo Alto, Fortinet or similar)
- A track record of delivering network migrations end to end
- Comfortable working remotely and owning a workstream
