Summary: We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our team on a contract basis. The role requires a deep understanding of network design and troubleshooting in cloud environments, with fluency in Italian to support local stakeholders. The position is remote and offers a duration of 6 months, with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various teams to ensure secure and reliable network architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable network architectures in GCP.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects and security teams to ensure network solutions align with business needs and security standards.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues across cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Configure and manage VPNs, VPCs, firewalls, load balancers, and hybrid connectivity (e.g., Interconnect, Cloud VPN).
  • Monitor network performance and recommend enhancements for performance and reliability.
  • Provide technical support and documentation in Italian for clients, partners, or internal teams.
  • Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer with a focus on cloud networking, especially in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong hands-on experience with cloud networking components (e.g., VPC, GKE networking, firewall rules, IAM, routing, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, NAT, and network security.
  • Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Fluent/Native Italian speaker – must be able to communicate technical details clearly in Italian.
