Summary: The role of Network Migration Engineer focuses on a global F5 deployment project for a leading financial services organization. The position requires an experienced Network Engineer to work remotely, contributing to the modernization of load-balancing infrastructure. The successful candidate will be part of a skilled engineering team tasked with upgrading the F5 Big-IP estate. This contract role is expected to last for at least six months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, modify, and troubleshoot F5 configurations, including iRules, SSL profiles, and traffic policies
- Deploying F5 solutions and executing migrations of F5 appliances and configurations between environments or platforms
- Diagnosing and resolving issues during migrations, including connectivity, performance, and compatibility challenges
- Configure, test, and deploy F5 devices, ensuring alignment with Engineering standards and established processes
Key Skills:
- BS degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience with IP networking and security devices.
- Good communication skills: verbal & written.
- Proficient in F5 BIG-IP platforms, including LTM and GTM/DNS
- In-depth understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, SSL/TLS) and application delivery concepts
- Ability to create, modify, and troubleshoot F5 configurations, including iRules, SSL profiles, and traffic policies
- Experience in deploying F5 solutions and executing migrations of F5 appliances and configurations between environments or platforms
- Experience in diagnosing and resolving issues during migrations, including connectivity, performance, and compatibility challenges
