Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and support large-scale IP/MPLS service provider networks, ensuring high availability and performance for mobile data traffic
  • Manage and optimise BGP (eBGP/iBGP) and IS-IS routing environments, including routing policy and traffic engineering
  • Design and maintain external interconnects and peering (NNI) with partners, roaming providers, and enterprise networks
  • Support integration between mobile packet core (EPC/PGW) and IP transport networks, including APN and Gi interface connectivity
  • Troubleshoot and manage high-throughput subscriber traffic and CGNAT environments, ensuring efficient traffic flow and scalability

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience operating large-scale service provider IP/MPLS networks
  • Advanced knowledge of BGP (eBGP and iBGP)

We are looking for a Network Engineer to support a large-scale service provider network delivering mobile data connectivity for a major UK mobile operator.

The role focuses on the IP/MPLS infrastructure that underpins the mobile packet core network, including interconnects with partner networks, enterprise APN connectivity, and Internet breakout infrastructure.

Duties

  • Operate and support large-scale IP/MPLS service provider networks, ensuring high availability and performance for mobile data traffic
  • Manage and optimise BGP (eBGP/iBGP) and IS-IS routing environments, including routing policy and traffic engineering
