Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), and Site Implementation Documents.
  • Work closely with technical and customer stakeholders to deliver robust technical solution designs.
  • Design and support networking solutions for SME and larger customer environments.
  • Collaborate on projects involving data centre technologies, networking platforms, and legacy infrastructure.
  • Ensure all designs follow industry best practice and meet customer technical standards.
  • Utilise tools such as Microsoft Office and Visio to document and present design outputs.

Key Skills:

  • Active SC Clearance (MOD or DESNZ preferred).
  • Ability to pass BS 7858 vetting.
  • Strong background in technical solution design, ideally working with SMEs or enterprise customers.
  • Solid, hands-on Cisco networking experience, ideally working towards or recently achieving CCNP certification.
  • Exposure to data centre technologies such as Cisco UCS environments and Nexus/9500-series (e.g., 9571K) platforms.
  • Expert knowledge across Layer 2 and Layer 3, IP Networking, routing protocols, load balancing, MPLS, and Radio technologies.
  • Experience producing complex LLDs and implementation documentation.
  • Understanding of firewall and security technologies.
  • Working knowledge of legacy technologies including SDH, PDH, and ISDN.
