Summary: The Network Architect role involves leading the design and implementation of complex network architectures for a high-profile Central Government programme. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the delivery of a secure and resilient network. The role is primarily remote but may involve some presence in London. Candidates must hold UKSV SC Clearance and be prepared to work inside IR35 regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of complex network architecture
- Collaborate with design authority, infrastructure suppliers, and security teams
- Deliver a scalable, highly resilient network supporting mission-critical services
- Drive strategic decisions across on-prem and cloud-integrated environments

- Strong background in enterprise network architecture & delivery (large-scale programmes)
- Deep expertise across:
- Routing & switching
- Load balancing & VPNs
- Data Centre LAN/WAN & DNS
- Network segmentation
- Solid understanding of network security principles
- Exposure to network automation & monitoring tools
- Experience managing suppliers and influencing stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership & communication skills

We're partnering with a leading consultancy delivering into a high-profile Central Government programme, and we're looking for an experienced Network Architect to play a pivotal role in designing and evolving a secure, resilient, and high-performing network.
