Summary: The role of Network Architect - IP Routing CCIE requires a CCIE-caliber professional with expert-level BGP knowledge to design and implement scalable routing architectures for a large, distributed enterprise. The candidate should have experience in cleaning up complex routing environments influenced by mergers and be capable of establishing routing standards. Strong leadership and diagnostic skills are essential for mentoring engineers and addressing complex routing issues. Experience with cloud edge routing, particularly in Azure, is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, modern routing architecture for a 1,000-site distributed enterprise.
- Clean up complex, multi-provider routing environments post-merger.
- Create and enforce routing standards, patterns, and governance models.
- Diagnose complex routing issues and traffic anomalies.
- Mentor engineers and influence technical direction.
- Manage multi-location networks of similar scale and complexity.
Key Skills:
- CCIE certification (Routing & Switching or Enterprise Infrastructure).
- Expert-level BGP knowledge across large-scale, multi-provider WAN environments.
- Experience with cloud edge routing (Azure preferred).
