Summary: The role of Network Architect involves working as a Senior Network Engineer with expertise in Extreme Networks and Cisco technologies. The position focuses on supporting a complex enterprise-wide network migration alongside experienced professionals. The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on experience and the ability to operate independently in advanced configurations and migrations. This is a contract position with a duration of 6 months, potentially extendable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of a complex, enterprise-wide network migration.
- Collaborate closely with the Extreme Architect and two CCIEs.
- Take independent ownership of workstreams and advanced configurations.
- Utilize strong hands-on experience in Extreme Networks and Cisco technologies.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience with Extreme Networks, especially Extreme Fabric Connect / SPBM.
- Knowledge of i-sid's, L2/L3 vsn's, BCB/BEB, UNI, Fabric Engine, Fabric Attach.
- Familiarity with VSP switches, VOSS, and Extreme Site Engine.
- Understanding of universal hardware platforms (75xx, 55xx, 54xx, 53xx).
- Exposure to Cisco Catalyst and ideally Nexus or ACI environments.
- Understanding of L2 technologies such as VLANs, VXLAN, STP, EVPN, and MPLS.
- Experience in high-demand environments, particularly healthcare.
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
