Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of a complex, enterprise-wide network migration.
  • Collaborate closely with the Extreme Architect and two CCIEs.
  • Take independent ownership of workstreams and advanced configurations.
  • Utilize strong hands-on experience in Extreme Networks and Cisco technologies.

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience with Extreme Networks, especially Extreme Fabric Connect / SPBM.
  • Knowledge of i-sid's, L2/L3 vsn's, BCB/BEB, UNI, Fabric Engine, Fabric Attach.
  • Familiarity with VSP switches, VOSS, and Extreme Site Engine.
  • Understanding of universal hardware platforms (75xx, 55xx, 54xx, 53xx).
  • Exposure to Cisco Catalyst and ideally Nexus or ACI environments.
  • Understanding of L2 technologies such as VLANs, VXLAN, STP, EVPN, and MPLS.
  • Experience in high-demand environments, particularly healthcare.
  • Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Extreme Networks (Fabric Connect) and a solid understanding of Cisco technologies. This individual will work closely with the Extreme Architect and two CCIEs, supporting the execution of a complex, enterprise-wide network migration. Ideal for someone with deep Extreme Fabric skills who may not be at full architect level but can operate independently and support advanced configurations and migrations.
Required Skills:
Strong experience with Extreme Networks, especially:
Extreme Fabric Connect / SPBM (Avaya heritage)
i-sid's, L2/L3 vsn's, BCB/BEB, UNI, Fabric Engine, Fabric Attach
VSP switches, VOSS, Extreme Site Engine
Familiar with universal hardware platforms (75xx, 55xx, 54xx, 53xx)
Familiarity with Cisco Catalyst, and ideally exposure to Nexus or ACI environments
