Network Architect

Summary: The Network Architect role focuses on leading the migration strategy and execution for AWS environments, ensuring effective governance and communication throughout the process. The position requires hands-on architectural guidance and collaboration with various stakeholders, including client SMEs and offshore teams. The role also involves managing technical issues during migration and ensuring compliance and quality across all migration waves. This is a remote position aimed at candidates with relevant experience in cloud architecture and migration strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and drive the lift-and-shift migration strategy, roadmap, and execution plan
• Review and validate AWS ProServe discovery outputs, and align migration wave planning and dependencies
• Own end-to-end migration delivery governance from a Cognizant perspective, covering scope, timelines, and milestones
• Provide hands-on architectural guidance for AWS target environment (compute, network, security)
• Coordinate closely with client SMEs, AWS ProServe, and Cognizant offshore teams
• Lead cutover planning, execution oversight, and go-live readiness
• Act as the primary escalation point for technical issues during migration and cutover
• Drive status reporting, risk management, and executive stakeholder communication with AWS ProServe, ensuring alignment on progress, risks, and dependencies
• Ensure migration quality, performance validation, and compliance adherence across all waves
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of issues for migrated servers, including post-migration connectivity, and configuration issues
• Validate landing zone and environment readiness with AWS and client teams
• Enforce runbooks, SOPs, and migration best practices across offshore teams
• Support testing coordination, issue resolution, and hypercare stabilization
• Drive automation adoption using migration factory / IaC frameworks
• Facilitate knowledge transfer and transition to operations / managed services
