Summary: The .NET Web Developer role is a technical position focused on the development and support of the Vocational Information System for Tracking Advancement (VISTA) modernization project. The successful candidate will engage in application design, development, and integration with various systems while ensuring adherence to modern application design standards. This position requires collaboration within self-directed project teams to enhance the client's case management system. Candidates should possess extensive experience in .NET technologies and cloud environments, particularly Azure SQL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the development and support of the VISTA modernization project.
- Engage in application design and development, including integration with internal and external systems.
- Manage database technology migration from Oracle to Azure SQL and data conversion.
- Build and maintain cloud computing environments.
- Analyze legacy code and logical requirements.
- Advise on and execute documentation, unit testing, and cross testing best practices.
- Design, create, and maintain web services and system integrations.
- Work on highly complex online transaction processing (OLTP).
Key Skills:
- Expertise in .NET technologies, particularly ASP.NET Core v6-8.
- Experience with Azure SQL cloud database solutions.

Description:
This is a technical position needed to drive the development and support of the Vocational Information System for Tracking Advancement (VISTA) modernization project, a full replacement of the client's case management system. Candidates will play an integral role on self directed project teams working on this high priority development project.
Project work will include: application design and development, integration with 3rd party internal and external systems, database technology migration from Oracle to Azure SQL and data conversion, building and maintaing cloud computing environments, and analysis of legacy code and logical requirements. Advising on and executing documentation, unit testing, and cross testing best practices.
Successful candidates will have demonstrated success in designing, creating, and maintaining web services, system integrations, web development, and highly complex online transaction processing (OLTP).

Top Required Skills & Years of Experience:
Experience as a lead developer in a large application development project, preferably involving modernization of technology, as well as working with a cross-functional team to redesign and simplify UX and workflows to meet modern application design standards, using a material design library and component framework, such as MudBlazor - at least 2 years experience
Candidate must be a .NET expert with extensive experience using ASP.NET Core v6-8 - at least 2 years experience
Experience in Azure SQL cloud database solution - at least 1 year experience
Experience with GitHub distributed version control and using GitHub actions to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines - at least 1 year experience
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience working in an Agile software development environment
