Summary: The .NET Web Developer role involves working under the direction of various supervisors and leads within the DNR IT Custom Applications and Development Section. The position focuses on developing and maintaining applications while adhering to DNR IT standards and best practices. Key Responsibilities:
- Orienting oneself to current applications including .Net and/or PowerBuilder, technical debt, and current backlog.
- Design and develop applications leveraging DNR standards and best practices.
- Assist with database architecture, design, and maintenance.
- Provide application maintenance, support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Perform and document testing using DNR approved tools and processes.
- Manage code, branching, and deployments through Azure DevOps.
- Complete priority tasks and maintain task progress in Azure DevOps.
- Participate and contribute input in all meetings related to Agile Methodologies.
- Analyze tasks and provide input into estimates and timelines.
- Participate in technical team meetings to coordinate development activities.
- Provide support and issue resolution for user acceptance testing.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for the solution.
- Support enhancements, maintenance, and documentation for additional program applications.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in .NET and/or PowerBuilder.
- Experience with database architecture and design.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps for code management and deployments.

This position will work at the direction of the DNR IT Custom Applications and Development Section Supervisors, DNR Application Architect Lead, Business Relationship Manager, Project Manager, and program Leads, utilizing DNR IT standards, software, and tools. Tasks of this position include, but are not limited to:
1. Orienting oneself to current applications including .Net and/or PowerBuilder, technical debt, and current backlog. This includes reviewing code, documentation, setting up locally and talking with others to understand functionality and business needs.
2. Design and develop application leveraging DNR standards, best practices and modernized design for performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, accessibility and secure coding practices while ensuring business needs are met. This includes developing web applications, batch processes and reports as needed.
3. Assist with database architecture, design, and maintenance to ensure data accuracy, performance, and scalability.
4. Provide application maintenance, support, troubleshooting and issue resolution.
5. Perform and document testing using DNR approved tools and processes for validating functional and non-functional scenarios to ensure quality and accuracy in meeting business needs.
6. Manage code, branching, and deployments through Azure DevOps, following release processes.
7. Complete priority tasks and maintain task progress in Azure DevOps to support deliverables and timelines.
8. Participate and contribute input in all meetings related to Agile Methodologies following DNR IT PMO guidance.
9. Analyze tasks and provide input into estimates and timelines.
10. Participate in technical team meetings to coordinate development activities and resolve risks.
11. Provide support and issue resolution for user acceptance testing.
