Summary: The .NET Developer role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining .NET-based applications and APIs that support healthcare interoperability. The position requires strong technical skills in C#, .NET Core, and FHIR implementations, along with a solid understanding of healthcare workflows. This is a remote position for a contract duration of 12+ months, emphasizing collaboration with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain . NET-based applications and APIs supporting healthcare interoperability.
- Implement and manage FHIR R4/R5 resources for clinical and administrative data exchange.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs for integration with EHRs and external healthcare systems.
- Work with HL7 standards (FHIR, HL7 v2) and healthcare data formats (JSON, XML).
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, security, and data privacy requirements.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and support CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
- Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and technical documentation.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in C#, .NET Core / .NET 6+, ASP.NET Web API.
- Hands-on experience with FHIR implementations (R4 preferred).
- Solid understanding of FHIR resources (Patient, Encounter, Observation, Practitioner, Condition, etc.).
- Experience with RESTful services, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect.
- Proficiency in SQL Server and/or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with JSON, XML, and healthcare data transformations.
- Familiarity with Azure / AWS cloud services.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, Azure DevOps or similar tools.
- Understanding of US Healthcare workflows (Provider, Payer, Claims, Clinical data).
- Knowledge of EHR/Epic/Cerner integrations is a plus.
- Experience with SMART on FHIR is preferred.
