A good client of mine, a professional services company are seeking an experienced API Developer with expertise in C# .NET to join their team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable APIs to power their business applications and integrations. Responsibilities

. Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using C# .NET.
. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine technical requirements.
. Optimize API performance and ensure scalability for high-traffic systems.
. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
. Implement and manage API security protocols such as OAuth and token-based authentication.
. Perform debugging and troubleshoot production issues.
. Integrate APIs with third-party platforms and services.
. Write unit tests and ensure robust CI/CD practices.

Skills & Experience

Required:
. 3+ years of experience in C# .NET development.
. Strong experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
. Familiarity with frameworks such as .NET Core or ASP.NET MVC.
. Proficiency in relational databases (eg, SQL Server) and query optimization.
. Experience with API documentation tools like Swagger or Postman.
. Knowledge of authentication/authorization frameworks (OAuth, JWT).
. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (eg, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
