.Net APIP Developer, London/Remote, 565/day (Outside IR35)

A good client of mine, a professional services company are seeking an experienced API Developer with expertise in C# .NET to join their team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable APIs to power their business applications and integrations. This role is ideal for a developer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can deliver high-quality solutions within deadlines.

Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using C# .NET.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine technical requirements.
* Optimize API performance and ensure scalability for high-traffic systems.
* Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
* Implement and manage API security protocols such as OAuth and token-based authentication.
* Perform debugging and troubleshoot production issues.
* Integrate APIs with third-party platforms and services.
* Write unit tests and ensure robust CI/CD practices.

Skills & Experience

Required:
* 3+ years of experience in C# .NET development.
* Strong experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
* Familiarity with frameworks such as .NET Core or ASP.NET MVC.
* Proficiency in relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) and query optimization.
* Experience with API documentation tools like Swagger or Postman.
* Knowledge of authentication/authorization frameworks (OAuth, JWT).
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
* Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
