The role

As our Digital Marketing Executive, you will be the driving force behind all marketing activity. Reporting directly to the Founder, you will oversee and execute campaigns across social media, email, and digital platforms to ensure consistent brand messaging, high-quality content, and measurable results. This is a hands-on role where you will create content, engage with our community, and analyse our data to track performance and continually optimise campaigns.

Responsibilities:

Success in this role will rely on creating and executing effective strategies that prioritise organic reach and community-driven marketing, while keeping reliance on paid advertising to a minimum. The role has two main objectives: firstly, to harness our large organic social media following and convert this engaged community onto our nestbox live paid platform; and secondly, to maximise conversions by driving a substantial increase in sales of our Smart Bird House Camera. To achieve this the Digital Marketing Executive will:

  • Create engaging social media campaigns: produce high performing, brand relevant content across all our channels- including graphics, copy, and short-form video, designed to convert engagement into action. You will be expected to create and manage multiple campaigns at once, balancing your creativity with data-driven decision making.
  • Manage social media channels: Community engagement is pivotal to our brand, building and maintaining strong relationships with our audience through consistent social media engagement is key, this includes; replying to comments, messages and queries.
  • Manage email campaigns: using platforms such as Mailchimp or MailerLite, outlining a strategy and regular content, to keep customers updated on company news, product features, and promotions. Eventually transitioning campaign workflows to an automated system to improve scalability and efficiency.
  • Maximise conversions: Leveraging our large organic social media following, with limited reliance on paid advertising.
  • Data and performance: Monitor campaign performance using analytics tools (including GTM) and provide actionable insights.

About you:

Mid–senior level experience in digital marketing - this role is not suitable for someone just starting out. Proven track record of creating and managing high-performing campaigns with measurable results. Strong creative skills, with the ability to produce engaging graphics and content (Canva essential). Excellent copywriting skills for social posts, email campaigns, and community engagement. Solid understanding of analytics, conversion tracking, and performance reporting. Experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, MailerLite, or similar). Knowledge of SEO and content strategy (desirable). Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A strong work ethic, being motivated, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality results. Problem-solving skills, being resourceful in finding solutions and making improvements. Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in work. Effective time management, with the ability to prioritise, organise, and deliver on deadlines. A commitment to continuous learning, being open to feedback and eager to grow with the company.
