Summary: The role of Senior Murex Technical Architect Engineer involves supporting live operations and incident management within a Murex MX.3 environment, focusing on sustaining and automating a complex production setup. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the existing Murex technical architecture across production and non-production environments
- Perform deep incident investigation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis, with timely escalation to L1/L2/L3 support as needed
- Develop and maintain scripts (Python, Shell, Perl) to automate incident checks, health monitoring, and log analysis
- Manage Murex environments: cloning, data refresh, decommissioning, capacity planning, and system tuning
- Assist with Murex upgrades, new model installation, configuration rollouts, and system performance tuning
- Provide operational coverage for Datamart configuration and MxML reporting
- Trade workflow management (pre-trade and post-trade)
- End-of-day and batch processes
- Event generation and downstream interfaces
- Simulation, valuation, and risk/PnL engine behavior
- Environment deployment and monitoring, including gateways, clusters, and services
- Collaborate with functional and business teams to triage and support issues related to collateral, settlement, or regulatory workflows
Key Skills:
- 7+ years of Murex technical experience, ideally with production support, automation, or systems engineering focus
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, system scripting, and performance analysis
- Hands-on experience with Datamart configuration, MxML Reports and cubes, batch job control, and end-of-day workflows
- Strong scripting ability: Shell, Python, Perl
- Experience using DevOps toolchains (Git, Jenkins) and working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure)

Role Summary:

This role does not involve architecting the system from scratch but focuses on sustaining, enhancing, and automating a complex production environment. The successful candidate will work closely with system architects, functional teams, and infrastructure teams to maintain platform reliability and performance across trade processing, reporting, and risk.

Familiarity with enterprise integration, message queues (e.g., MQ), APIs, and scheduling tools
Ability to interpret Murex logs, trace errors across layers, and document findings for resolution
