Summary: The MuleSoft Developer role involves designing, developing, and deploying integration solutions for a central government client, focusing on API-led connectivity to enhance organizational agility. The position is remote with occasional travel to Belfast and requires SC clearance. The contract duration is 3-4 months, offering a competitive daily rate. The role demands collaboration with various teams to deliver scalable integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement MuleSoft APIs and integrations to support digital transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to understand integration requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Develop API-led connectivity solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Create and maintain RAML and OpenAPI specifications for RESTful APIs.
- Ensure best practices in API security, governance, and performance optimization.
- Perform unit testing and integration testing to validate API functionality and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in integration services.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to automate API deployments.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior developers and stakeholders.
- Stay updated on MuleSoft product updates, API management trends, and industry best practices.
Key Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in MuleSoft development (Mule 4 preferred).
- Strong expertise in API development, microservices architecture, and integration patterns.
- Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API Manager, Runtime Manager, and Anypoint Studio.
- Ideally proficiency in DataWeave, RAML, JSON, XML, SOAP, and RESTful services.
- Hands-on experience with MuleSoft connectors, transformations, and message processors.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and on-prem hybrid integrations.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture, messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS), and ETL processes.
- Experience with OAuth, JWT, SAML, and API security best practices.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
