Job Title: MQ Hub Administrator


Contract Type: 12-Month Contract


Location: Remote (within the US)


Job Summary:


We are seeking a skilled MQ Hub Administrator to support middleware technologies in a dynamic and remote environment. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting WebSphere MQ, ActiveMQ, and related technologies. This is a 12-month contract role open to candidates located within the United States.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot middleware technologies, including WebSphere MQ, ActiveMQ, MB/IIB9, and MQ Appliance.

  • Manage and optimize application servers, including Apache Tomcat and WebSphere Application Server.

  • Configure secure connections using SSL/TLS to encrypt communication between clients and brokers.

  • Create and manage brokers and execution groups to support middleware operations.

  • Deploy and manage bar files and handle complex message flows within the middleware environment.

  • Diagnose and resolve JVM heap memory issues on execution groups to maintain system performance and stability.


Required Qualifications:



  • Proven experience in middleware technologies, including WebSphere MQ and ActiveMQ.

  • Hands-on experience with broker creation and execution group management.

  • Expertise in configuring SSL/TLS for secure communication.

  • Proficiency in deploying and managing bar files and handling message flows.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly in addressing JVM heap memory issues.

  • Knowledge of Apache Tomcat and WebSphere Application Server configuration and optimization.


Preferred Skills:



  • Experience with MB/IIB9 and MQ Appliance.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.


Work Environment:


This position is fully remote, providing flexibility while working collaboratively with a distributed team across the U.S.
