Summary: The Migration Architect role involves supporting a leading IT services client in executing large-scale application and data center migrations for a public sector client. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver application or data centre migrations at scale.
- Work across cloud (AWS), private cloud, and on-prem environments.
- Define migration patterns, strategies, and end-to-end architecture designs.
- Conduct architecture impact assessments and produce high-quality design artefacts.
- Work in complex, multi-supplier environments.
- Engage hands-on during build, test, and migration cutover phases.

- Proven background in cloud (AWS), private cloud, and on-prem environments.

Rate: £710/day (inside IR35)
Duration: Initial 6 months (extensions likely)
Working Model: Remote within the UK, with occasional travel to client sites in the Midlands, Manchester, and London.
Key Requirements:
Strong experience designing and delivering application or data centre migrations at scale
Proven background working across cloud (AWS), private cloud, and on-prem environments
Experience defining migration patterns, strategies, and end-to-end architecture designs
Ability to conduct architecture impact assessments and produce high-quality design artefacts
Experience working in complex, multi-supplier environments
Hands-on involvement during build, test, and migration cutover phases
Additional Requirements:
Must have recent public sector experience
Must be eligible for SC clearance (typically requires 5 years continuous UK residency, right to work in the UK, and no unspent criminal convictions)
Candidates who currently hold SC or have held it recently will be highly desirable
