Summary: SOFT's client is seeking a Middleware Engineer specializing in Mulesoft for a long-term contract role. The position involves deploying new technologies, maintaining server infrastructure, and providing middleware engineering and operations support. The ideal candidate will have experience with MuleSoft and AWS technologies, as well as skills in infrastructure management and security operations. This role is exclusively for independent consultants, with no third-party or subcontractor involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploys new technologies and performs system integration testing of PC/server operating systems.
- Troubleshoots server problems reported by users.
- Researches, evaluates, and recommends software and hardware products.
- Supports web access and electronic messaging services while maintaining a secure systems environment.
- Provides hardware specifications based on application needs and installs new servers.
- Manages and implements Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Configures and manages security groups and remediates vulnerabilities.
- Handles deployment management and production change execution.
- Supports production systems and performs system troubleshooting.
Key Skills:
- API middleware engineering and operations support.
- Experience with MuleSoft runtime environment and Mule Runtime administration.

Deploys the release of new technologies as well as designs, installs, configures, maintains and performs system integration testing of PC/server operating systems, related utilities and hardware. Responsible for trouble shooting server problems as reported by users. Researches, evaluates and recommends software and hardware products. Supports Web access and electronic messaging services and maintains a secure systems environment. Provides new hardware specifications to users based on application needs and anticipated growth, installs new servers and maintains the server infrastructure.
