Summary: Our client, a startup in the entertainment sector, is seeking a backend Node.js / Cloud Engineer to support their expansion across North America. This role offers a 1099 contract with the potential to transition to a full-time position within six months. The company focuses on providing accessibility for Spanish speakers in the movie theater experience across the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in backend development (approximately 50% of the role).
- Work on cloud/infrastructure tasks (approximately 50% of the role).
- Perform hands-on development work (100% of daily responsibilities).
Key Skills:
- Experience with Node.js and TypeScript for Microservice development.
- Proficiency with AWS and its suite of tools (Lambdas, EC2, Fargot, ECS).
- AWS networking experience (VPC, API Gateway, Load Balancers).
- Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure (CloudWatch preferred).
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience in the media/entertainment industry.
- Experience in startup environments.
Salary (Rate): £32.00 hourly
