Summary: The Microsoft Fabric Data Architect role involves leading enterprise client projects for a Microsoft Gold Partner/Managed Service Provider, focusing on the adoption and acceleration of Microsoft Fabric. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design enterprise-grade Fabric architectures leveraging OneLake, Medallion framework, and Direct Lake mode.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions with end-clients to map out proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and adoption roadmaps.
  • Formulate migration paths from Legacy systems (SQL Server, Azure Synapse, AWS) into Microsoft Fabric.
  • Establish tenant settings, capacity planning, and security models (RLS/CLS) for multi-tenant or multi-department deployments.
  • Deliver technical frameworks and best practices to the MSP engineering delivery teams.

Key Skills:

  • Hands-on experience architecting and deploying Microsoft Fabric in production or advanced enterprise PoC environments.
  • Technical mastery of Synapse Data Engineering, Data Factory, Delta Lake formats, and Power BI Direct Lake modelling.
  • Proficiency in PySpark, SQL, and DAX.

Key Deliverables

  • Client Architecture Blueprints: Design enterprise-grade Fabric architectures leveraging OneLake, Medallion framework, and Direct Lake mode.
