Summary: The role of Microsoft Dynamics Consultant involves providing technical support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Shopify platforms, ensuring seamless integration and smooth operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills, with a focus on customer support. This position is fully remote and requires collaboration with internal teams and external partners to address system issues and enhance user experience. The contract duration is for 3 months, and the role is classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Shopify platforms
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system integrations, data synchronization and workflows
- Liaise with support partners for issues that require 2nd/ 3rd line support and coordinate activities between partners where required
- Collaborate with internal teams to analyse business requirements and implement solutions
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement
- Assist with configuration, customisation and updates to Business Central and Shopify
- Document support cases, resolutions and best practices for knowledge sharing
- Train and guide end-users on system functionality and best practices
- Work closely with developers and vendors to escalate and resolve complex issues
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (ERP modules, finance, inventory, sales)
- Experience with Shopify (Avalara, store setup, apps, themes, POS, APIs)
- Understanding of integration tools and middleware (e.g., BC to Shopify connector, APIs, EDI)
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data analysis for troubleshooting and reporting
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
