Summary: An experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Developer is sought for a contract role focused on designing, developing, upgrading, and supporting business solutions using Microsoft D365 F&O. The position requires strong hands-on experience with X++ development and collaboration with functional consultants and business stakeholders. The role is fully remote and classified as outside IR35. The contract duration is for 12 months at a rate of £425 per day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain custom solutions in Dynamics 365 F&O
- Develop using X++, extensions, forms, reports, batch jobs, and workflows
- Handle system upgrades and migrations (e.g., version updates, legacy to D365)
- Build and support integrations using OData/REST APIs, Data Management Framework (DMF), and Custom services
- Manage environments using Lifecycle Services (LCS)
Key Skills:
- 5+ years’ experience as a Dynamics 365 F&O Developer
- Real project experience in custom development, upgrades, and integration
- Strong experience in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations development
- Excellent knowledge of X++ and extension-based development
- Proven experience with LCS, upgrades, and system integrations
- Good understanding of data entities, security framework, workflows, and performance optimization
- Azure DevOps pipelines
- Experience with source control (Azure DevOps /Git)
- Nice to Have - Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines, Power Platform, and Electronic Reporting (ER)
- Microsoft certifications for D365 F&O
- Experience in ERP implementation or rollout projects
