Summary: The Microsoft Defender XDR Specialist will engage in a 6-month remote contract focused on deploying and managing Microsoft Defender XDR across multiple countries. This role involves transitioning local security solutions to Microsoft Defender while collaborating with global cyber and data protection teams. The specialist will also provide technical support and develop rollout plans for various security applications. Strong expertise in Defender for Endpoint and Intune is essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the deployment of Defender XDR and coordinate the decommissioning of existing local EDR/AV solutions with cyber and data protection teams.
• Define Intune configuration and oversee its rollout, working in collaboration with M365 teams and cyber security stakeholders.
• Develop and implement a rollout plan for countries utilizing their current EDR/AV solution for encryption.
• Provide technical support for Defender for Endpoint, Intune, and BitLocker.
• Support projects related to M365 security applications handled by the cyber and data protection team.
• Share expertise on M365 security solutions with team members.
• Manage incidents and requests related to M365 security applications.
• Actively participate in team discussions and initiatives.

Key Skills:

• Expert knowledge of Defender for Endpoint and Intune (Mandatory)
• Strong experience with BitLocker (Mandatory)
• Comprehensive knowledge of antivirus and EDR solutions (Mandatory)
• Knowledge of Defender for Cloud Apps (Preferred)
