Summary: The role of Test Lead involves overseeing the testing phases of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) implementation project for a manufacturing client. The position requires planning and executing various testing stages, including FIT, SIT, and UAT, while managing logistics and resources. The Test Lead will also be responsible for defect tracking and reporting, as well as leading user acceptance testing efforts. This is a remote position with some travel requirements to client sites in Indiana and Ohio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan for FIT, SIT, and UAT, including developing a Test Strategy and Plan.
- Define the testing process and logistics, including reserving testing facilities and ensuring tester access.
- Lead script writers in creating test cases and scripts for Functional Integration and System Integration test phases.
- Track and report defects and test execution status daily.
- Lead users in creating and executing User Acceptance test cases and scripts.
- Manage travel requirements, which may involve up to 20% travel.
Key Skills:
- 3-4 years of experience leading testing phases for large IT projects.
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) implementation, preferably Solumina.
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience, preferably SAP.
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening.

Main Sail is seeking a Test Lead for a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) implementation project to support a manufacturing client in Mt. Vernon Indiana.
Responsibilities:
- Plan for the FIT, SIT, and UAT as well as prep for test execution, such as:
-- Develop a Test Strategy and Plan
-- Defining the testing process (how the users will perform the test)
-- What testing materials will be leveraged
-- How the testers will have the testing materials
-- How the test results will be captured and managed to closure
-- What tool will be used to collect the test results
-- What metrics will be used to report out the test results
-- Who will be facilitating all the testing at both facilities
-- When the tests will happen for FIT, SIT and UAT (both facilities)
-- Who will be testing for FIT, SIT, and UAT (for both facilities)
- Develop Detailed Testing Schedule for FIT, SIT, and UAT (for both facilities)
- Define testing logistics
-- Reserve the testing facility at both facilities
-- Organizing the testing facility with proper testing tools (if needed)
-- Ensuring the testers’ access and proper privileges have been provided
-- Ensure the testers have proper training
