Summary: The MEM Migration Engineer role involves supporting a public-sector IT modernization program by migrating end-user laptops from a legacy SCCM and Office 2016 environment to a Modern Device Management model using Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MEM) and Intune. The position is primarily remote but requires occasional onsite support in the South East. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in device management and troubleshooting. This role is classified as inside IR35 and requires engagement through an umbrella company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Migrate Windows laptops from SCCM to Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune)
- Support the transition from Office 2016 to Office 365
- Assist end users during device refresh and migration activities
- Troubleshoot device, policy, and application deployment issues
- Provide onsite support when required during rollout phases
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure a smooth migration
Key Skills:
- Strong experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MEM) / Intune
- Background in SCCM to Modern Device Management migrations
- Solid knowledge of Windows 10/11 device management
- Experience deploying and supporting Office 365
- Excellent troubleshooting and user support skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Overview
We are seeking an experienced MEM Migration Engineer to support a large public-sector IT modernisation programme. The role focuses on migrating end-user laptops from a legacy SCCM and Office 2016 environment to a Modern Device Management model using Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MEM), Intune, and Office 365. This is a predominantly remote role; however, the successful candidate must be willing to travel to client sites in the South East when required to provide onsite support.
