The Role
You will act as the sole Mechanical Engineer across several concurrent projects, taking ownership of mechanical design input, specification, and procurement activities. Key responsibilities include:
- Specifying and procuring pumps, blowers, and steelwork fabrications
- Supporting delivery of multiple medium-scale water treatment projects
- Working closely with suppliers and fabrication partners across the UK
- Attending factory acceptance tests (FATs) at various UK sites
- Ensuring engineering solutions are delivered to quality, cost, and schedule requirements
About You
We are looking for a self-sufficient and fast-learning engineer who is comfortable taking ownership of their work. Ideally you will have:
- Minimum 5 years Mechanical Engineering experience
- Background in a supplier, contractor, or manufacturing environment (preferred over consultancy or water utility experience)
- Experience with mechanical equipment such as pumps, blowers, and fabricated steelwork
- Strong practical engineering and procurement exposure
- Ability to work independently across multiple projects
A full UK driving licence and ability to travel is essential.
