Summary: The MDM Consultant - Syniti role focuses on leading the implementation and management of Master Data Management (MDM) solutions, particularly in the context of SAP data migration and conversion. The position requires collaboration with business stakeholders to ensure data integrity and compliance while driving continuous improvement initiatives. The consultant will also oversee daily MDM operations and establish data quality governance frameworks. This role is essential for enhancing enterprise data capabilities and ensuring alignment with technology roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation and rollout of enterprise MDM solutions across key domains such as Customer, Vendor, and Material
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather and define master data requirements aligned with enterprise architecture and SAP standards
• Oversee daily MDM operations, ensuring SLA adherence and consistent data integrity
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality, optimize processes, and reduce data-related risks
• Manage end-to-end data migration activities including extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, and loading (ETL)
• Define and oversee data mapping, transformation rules, and reconciliation processes in collaboration with functional and technical teams
• Lead mock conversions, cutover planning, and production data loads to ensure business continuity
• Handle issue resolution, defect management, and root-cause analysis for data-related challenges
• Establish and monitor data quality KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics
• Collaborate with data governance teams to define data ownership and stewardship models
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and security standards for enterprise data
• Oversee day-to-day MDM operations, including data quality monitoring and issue resolution
• Implement automation for data validation, cleansing, enrichment, and workflow management
• Track and improve key metrics such as data quality scores, SLA adherence, and governance adoption
• Lead root-cause analysis and implement sustainable fixes for recurring data issues
• Partner with enterprise architecture teams to align MDM and migration strategies with long-term technology roadmaps
• Evaluate and implement MDM tools, data quality solutions, and automation frameworks
• Promote best practices in data modeling, metadata management, and data lifecycle management

Key Skills:

• Proven experience in Master Data Management (MDM) and SAP data migration/conversion programs
• Hands-on expertise with SAP S/4HANA implementations (Greenfield, Brownfield, or Hybrid)
• Strong knowledge of SAP data objects and migration tools
• Experience with MDM platforms such as Syniti, SAP MDM/MDG, or Informatica
• Solid understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and ETL processes
• Experience working in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or similar industries is preferred
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern data architecture principles
