Summary: The Marketing Specialist for the Tableau Event Community (EMEA) is responsible for supporting the Tableau User Group Program, focusing on community engagement and event organization. This role involves creating promotional content, acting as a liaison for internal teams, and fostering relationships with community leaders. The position is fully remote and offers flexibility in working hours, with a contract lasting until early March 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and enable User Group Leaders to host engaging, high-impact events
- Create content and messaging to promote the TUG program globally and regionally
- Act as the EMEA point of contact for internal teams, sales, and marketing leaders
- Provide timely, hands-on support to community leaders — building trusted relationships
- Help deliver standout community moments at Tableau and Salesforce events across EMEA
Key Skills:
- Marketing, customer engagement, or campaign experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for working with communities and driving engagement
- Familiarity with EMEA markets and cultural nuances
- Analytical mindset and interest in data (basic Tableau knowledge is a plus)
- Creativity, resilience, and a proactive, problem-solving approach

Join us to help grow and empower the Tableau Event Community, a global network of over 4 million passionate data enthusiasts, known as the DataFam. We’re looking for a Marketing Specialist to support our fast-growing Tableau User Group (TUG) Program, with a particular focus on EMEA.
What you’ll do:
- Support and enable User Group Leaders to host engaging, high-impact events
- Create content and messaging to promote the TUG program globally and regionally
- Act as the EMEA point of contact for internal teams, sales, and marketing leaders
- Provide timely, hands-on support to community leaders — building trusted relationships
