Summary: The Manual Tester role involves executing test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring that solutions meet both functional and business requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyse requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria to create detailed test cases.
- Execute manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing activities.
- Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and other testers to ensure effective quality assurance.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Support UAT preparation and execution where required.
- Maintain accurate test evidence and contribute to test reporting.
- Ensure testing aligns with agreed quality standards and project timelines.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Manual Tester in an Agile environment.
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle and testing processes.
- Experience with test management tools (eg, Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, or Azure Test Plans).
- Excellent defect management and communication skills.
- Attention to detail with strong analytical and documentation abilities.
- Experience testing across web-based applications, APIs, and/or data validation preferred.
- Knowledge of risk-based and exploratory testing techniques.
