Summary: The role of a Manhattan Active Omni (MAO) Techno-functional Consultant involves leading the design, configuration, implementation, and support of MAO solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of functional expertise in order management and fulfillment processes, along with technical skills for configuration and integration. This position emphasizes a hands-on approach to solution delivery, advocating for ownership throughout the solution lifecycle. The consultant will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure scalable and effective solutions are implemented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end functional and technical design, configuration, and implementation of Manhattan Active Omni (MAO) solutions
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical configurations
  • Architect solutions with domain driven design at its core
  • Configure order management, inventory visibility, fulfillment, and store/distribution workflows in MAO
  • Provide expertise on integration points between MAO and ERP, OMS, WMS, and POS systems
  • Hands on experience with Manhattan Proactive customizations
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering managers, product managers and technical product managers to design scalable solutions
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis and recommend customizations vs. out-of-box configurations
  • Lead system testing, UAT support, and production deployment activities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve functional and technical issues across MAO modules
  • Mentor junior team members and review technical deliverables
  • Document configurations, design specifications, and process workflows
  • Own solutions through their full lifecycle build, deploy, monitor, and support in production, following a "you build it, you run it" mindset
  • Participate in on-call/support rotations for issues related to owned components
  • Proactively identify and resolve production issues, driving root-cause analysis and long-term fixes rather than handoffs

Key Skills:

  • 10-12 years of total experience in supply chain, retail, or omnichannel technology domains
  • 3-4 years of hands-on experience with Manhattan Associates suite (MAO, or related modules)
  • Strong functional knowledge of order management, inventory, fulfillment, and distributed order management (DOM)
  • Technical proficiency in MAO configuration, APIs, and integration frameworks
  • Experience with Java, REST/SOAP APIs, XML, JSON, and SQL
  • Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing, debugging, and integration validation
  • Experience with automation testing frameworks/tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, or similar) for functional and regression testing
  • Understanding of cloud-based deployment models for the Manhattan Active platform
  • Strong ownership mindset comfortable taking accountability for solutions in production, not just development
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
