Mainframe / systems Analyst. They'll need to come from a financial/investment industry
Going forward, could you please conduct more thorough pre-screening of candidates, with particular focus on the following skill areas :
- Financial Services / Trading: Basic understanding of core trading concepts and the basics of stock trading, mutual funds, and related financial services processes.
- Systems Analysis & Design: Requirements gathering, problem-solving ability, and the ability to clearly explain current-state ( as-is ) and future-state system processes.
- SOAP and REST API knowledge: Understanding of how APIs work, including the differences between SOAP and REST.
- Databases: Knowledge of relational databases, including mainframe DB2 and distributed databases such as Oracle, as well as the ability to write SQL queries.
- Mainframe: Ability to navigate the mainframe environment and perform analysis involving COBOL, VSAM files, and 3270 screens.
