Summary: The Mainframe System Automation Engineer role involves providing expert support for Mainframe Automation and output management, including the development of Splunk dashboards and alerts. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert Mainframe Automation and output management support.
- Develop and support Splunk dashboards and alerts.
- Author Test Cases to validate native/new functionality.
- Represent the team at technical/business meetings/events professionally.
- Communicate and collaborate with Business & Operational Teams.
- Handle Mainframe Automation problem escalations (internal and vendor support).
- Follow client ITIL Business processes, including Change, Incident, Problem, and Root Cause Analysis processes.
- Manage Mainframe Automation tools in line with client security, compliance, and policies.
- Provide potential on-call support (24x7x365) for OPSMVS, CAView, and iDash issues.
Key Skills:
- Knowledge and experience with Mainframe systems OPSMVS, CA-View & CA-Deliver.
- Proficiency in REXX and Mainframe Operations (JCL, ISPF, JES2, z/OS).
- At least 5 years working within a complex Mainframe environment.
- Mainframe System Automation software administration on Mainframe systems.
