Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mainframe QA Engineer to support a large-scale mainframe modernization and vendor migration initiative.
This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and reliability of legacy and modernized applications by designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies across complex mainframe environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for mainframe applications.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and data validation testing.
- Validate data integrity across mainframe systems and downstream applications.
- Test batch processing, file transfers, interfaces, and scheduled jobs.
- Analyze requirements and translate business specifications into effective test scenarios.
- Collaborate closely with Mainframe Engineers, Systems Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners.
- Identify, document, track, and retest defects through resolution.
- Support modernization and migration initiatives involving legacy mainframe systems.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
