Summary: The Mainframe Program Manager role involves overseeing the development and maintenance of mainframe applications, particularly in the ACAS domain, with a focus on claims processing workflows. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform requirement analysis and engineering tasks for the ACAS domain.
- Design, develop, test, and debug mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and CICS.
- Create technical documentation to support mainframe development.
- Write and maintain code for existing applications, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to offsite leads/developers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for technical and functional issues.
- Optimize mainframe programs for performance and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and bugs.
- Participate in and conduct code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and production deployment activities.
- Ensure good understanding of Mainframe code migration from development to production environment.
- Experience in healthcare claims and their associated systems.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.

Design, develop, test, and debug mainframe applications, often involving COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and CICS.
Create technical documentation to support mainframe development.
Write and maintain code for existing applications, ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., business analysts, QA, project managers) to ensure successful project delivery.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to offsite leads/developers. Coordinate daily activities between the onsite team and offshore development teams.
Serve as the primary point of contact for technical and functional issues.
Optimize mainframe programs for performance and efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and bugs.
Participate in and conduct code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability.

Good understanding of Mainframe code migration from development to a production environment, which involves Package creation, code promotion to Test, QA and PROD regions. Good knowledge in Post-Installation Verification and Backout strategies.
Experience in healthcare claims and their associated systems is crucial for understanding the complex claims processing workflow.
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
