Summary: Immediate opportunity for a Mainframe Developer with expertise in Systematics ALS for an 11+ month contract, primarily focused on enhancing loan lifecycle applications. The role involves extensive collaboration with business analysts and QA teams, as well as providing production support. This position is remote and offers long-term potential within a leading IT industry client. Candidates should possess significant mainframe development experience and familiarity with various technologies related to loan servicing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, design, code, test, and implement enhancements to Systematics ALS applications.
- Work on loan lifecycle modules such as LN (Loan), LC (Line of Credit), and LP (Loan Payments).
- Develop and maintain COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM programs related to loan servicing.
- Perform impact analysis and debugging of existing applications for enhancements or production issues.
- Collaborate with business analysts and QA teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Support integration efforts with upstream/downstream systems including APIs or batch feeds.
- Participate in code reviews and follow industry best practices for mainframe development.
- Provide production support and work on incident/problem tickets related to ALS modules.
- Maintain detailed documentation of program changes and technical designs.

- Hands-on expertise with Systematics ALS modules (LN, LC, LP, etc.)

- Experience working with batch and online processing environments.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex system issues in a timely manner.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum or Waterfall development methodologies.
- Experience with tools such as Endevor, XPEDITOR, File-Aid, Abend-Aid.
- Exposure to Systematics ST (Systematics Toolkit) or other FIS mainframe banking solutions.
- Familiarity with banking regulations and compliance standards related to lending.
- Prior experience in migrating or modernizing legacy loan systems is a plus.
