Summary: The Mainframe Developer role is a remote contract position requiring 10 hours of work per week. The developer will be responsible for maintaining and supporting existing COBOL-based mainframe applications, including unit testing and documentation. Key Responsibilities:
- Understand the current system and provide maintenance support of the existing application.
- Develop/Maintain the application features using Mainframe.
- Unit Test Application.
- Provide production support for any system failure or break events. Provide support to existing batch jobs.
- Support any small enhancements if needed.
- Create documentation of the fix/enhancement put in place.
- Create System documentation on need basis.
