Summary: The Mainframe DB2 Database Engineer is responsible for ensuring the availability and recovery of DB2 databases, performing diagnostics, troubleshooting errors, and tuning SQL processes. The role requires extensive experience with IBM System Z and DB2 utilities, as well as knowledge of performance tuning and capacity management. Additional skills in Java and web services are considered beneficial. The position is remote and classified as outside IR35.
