Key Responsibilities:

Description:

We are looking for a SR payroll Peoplesoft Developer. They provide little training and expect this person to hit the ground running.

In PeopleSoft, FICA refers to the Federal Insurance Contributions Act taxes (Social Security and Medicare). Managed primarily within the Payroll for North America module, the system uses specific FICA Status codes to correctly calculate employee and employer taxes.

Please only submit candidates with heavy FICA experience within the Peoplesoft PAYROLL module

  • This team is more technical doing all the development work.
  • Most of teams are remote, but the org is based in Oakland.
  • Majority of the team has 15-20 years' experience someone who can get started immediately, hit the ground running
  • 8 years+ is ok payroll, development in PeopleSoft is a MUST. Need to know how to customize and enhance

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  1. Participate in development activities for UCPath, the PeopleSoft HCM ERP system, including, but not limited to, the areas of Payroll, Time and Labor and Absence Management.

  3. Collaborate with core development team members, subject matter experts, and campus project teams as necessary.
  4. Work closely with the University business and/or technical counterparts to deliver enhancements that are compliant with industry and application best practices.
  5. Prepares and approves or obtains approval for system and programming documentation. Initiates and oversees changes in development, maintenance and system standards. Sets the technical requirements for complex software specifications.
  6. Applies advanced software concepts to plan, design, develop, modify, debug, deploy and evaluate highly complex software for functional areas.
  7. Analyzes existing highly complex software or works to formulate logic and devises algorithms for new highly complex software systems.
  8. Performs highly complex data analysis and tests/debugs highly complex software, working directly with management.
  9. Initiates, analyzes, designs and applies highly complex data sources. Applies and enforces complex programming security practices.
  10. Provide advanced production support services as required.
  11. Participate in support rotations and provide on-call support services as needed.
