Role Details
Position: Locum Property Lawyer
Working Arrangement: Full Time, Remote working
Duration: Initial 3-6 months with the possibility for extension
Rate: Up to £50 per hour umbrella
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of residential and commercial property matters, from instruction through to completion
- Deal with conveyancing transactions, including title investigations, amalgamation and registration of titles relating to the Councils land holdings for sale and/or development
- Manage transactions relating to freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals
- Draft and advise on tenancy agreements, licences, and mortgages
- Support the wider property team with relevant matters and provide excellent client service
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive (or equivalent) with experience of Property Law
- Experience working within Local Government or the Public Sector is desirable, but not essential
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders and teams
