Role Details
Position: Locum Property Lawyer
Working Arrangement: Full Time, remote working
Duration: Initial 3 months with the possibility for extension
Rate: Up to £55 per hour umbrella
Start Date: As soon as possible
Duties may include:
- Provided expert legal advice to the Council on a broad range of property matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate leases, licences, transfers, easements, acquisitions, disposals, and other related matters
- Advise on landlord and tenant matters, regeneration, and development projects
- Undertake property due diligence, including title, searches, covenant, easements, and other legal matters
- Identify and manage leak risks, ensuring transactions comply with relevant legislation, Council procedures, and governance requirements
- Manage a varied caseload effectively, and provide timely and accurate legal advice
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive (or equivalent) with experience of Property Law
- Experience working within Local Government or the Public Sector is desirable
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders and teams
